The truth is, we all love a bit of Missguided from time to time and to many of us, the company finally breaking out of the internet into the real world was like a dream come true. Online shopping is great, but it's the store that enables us to have the true shopping experience. Via the decor and the visual merchandise the brand identity is able to be to be portrayed, and a stronger relationship is built with the consumer. However, have Missguided gone down the best route? I guess there's no right or wrong answer. On the one hand, the brand is all about being fun, modern and very liberal, which is definitely portrayed through their direct and friendly language. Yet on the other hand, the messages sent through their posters and decorations are a little inappropriate at times; of course, they are trying to follow trends and create talking points but using terms such as 'nudes' and 'psycho' does seem a bit excessive. Either way, the brand is definitely controversial and very clearly aimed at a younger demographic. |
