The second part of Task 3 included making a video campaign. For this we chose two female models, we worked quite hard to find a genuine couple as we believed it was important to make the commercial look as genuine as possible so we turned to my friends which have been together for 2 years. This was a great choice as they felt more comfortable in front of us than strangers would and they were willing to be filmed all day long, we also chose to base our consumer profiles on them as we could get a deeper understanding of what it is that they do in their spare time and what they're passionate about. Furthermore, we chose to shoot our video in several locations in Nottingham including Victoria Market, town square and the Arboretum; this enabled us to have a great variety of shots which we could then work with in post production. With regards to styling, we went for 2 changes of clothes and simple hair and make up; we wanted our models to look and feel as natural as possible, almost as if they didn't even know they were being filmed. In PP I layered the chosen clips with a vintage effect to correspond to the rest of our work, some clips were made slower whereas others looked great at normal speed. I chose to layer the clip with Birdy's 'Wings' as the song has beautiful lyrics and describes the love between two people which suited our brand perfectly. Moreover, Birdy was only 17 when the song was released, which worked great with our chosen audience as we're aiming primarily at young adults. Overall, the commercial turned our beautifully and made everyone smile which is what we were hoping for!
